Chin Swee Road: One Door at a Time
25 Oct 2026

It started with one person knocking on one door.
Now volunteers walk the corridors of Singapore’s rental flats, door after door, asking each household what it needs, and then rolling up their sleeves to help.

On 25th October, we were back at Chin Swee Road. We brought adult diapers, medical ointment and non-slip floor mats for residents’ toilets, and checked in on each household to see what else was needed.

Two sponsors donated PMDs, and we found new users for them. One aunty told us she had been praying for a PMD for many years. Her husband and one of her sons have passed away, and her remaining son lives with mental illness. She had just been discharged from hospital and has a heart condition among other health issues. The PMD was a big relief for her, and she was very grateful.

A new Tempur mattress was also sponsored for one of the residents.

Our volunteers each did what they could. One of them is a trained nurse, and she trimmed the toenails of several seniors. One of the seniors recognised her, because she had done the same for her a year ago. Another volunteer changed light bulbs. One household asked for their home to be painted, and our volunteers took care of that too.

Many thanks to our sponsors and volunteers for making the day possible.
